Dog-Friendly Hikes in Ladera Ranch: As we transition into fall, the weather here in Orange County is becoming more and more beautiful! The temperatures are slowly cooling down, allowing people and dogs alike to enjoy the outdoors again. Looking for a place in Ladera Ranch to spend the day outside with your dog? Look no further! Here are some of our favorite hikes in our beautiful community:
Shady Canyon Trail
Shady Canyon Trail offers about four miles of paved trails in the Irvine area. This is a great hike for families with children or dogs who do better on easy, even terrain. This trail is even approved as wheelchair accessible!
Tenaja Falls Trail
Tenaja Falls Trail is an easy 1.5 mile hike in Cleveland National Forest in Fallbrook. The drive to this trail is an attraction in and of itself, as you’ll get to see ranches and mansions from the road. The trail even ends with a waterfall! Overnight camping is available in the park if you obtain a permit.
Aliso Creek Riding and Hiking Trail
Aliso Creek Riding and Hiking Trail is conveniently located in Aliso Viejo. The trail is an 18.5 mile corridor with multiple entry points and parks to choose from along the way. The trail is mostly paved, with a brief stretch of sand when you get close to the beach.
Peters Canyon Regional Park
Peters Canyon Regional Park in Orange offers 354 acres of hiking trails and other outdoor recreational space. The park is open daily from 7am until sunset. Various trails and activities are available for the whole family, and many of these trails are pet friendly!
