What to Expect on the day of Your First Visit:

Our friendly staff will greet you and get you started on filling out New Patient Forms if you have not filled them out online. During your wait, we encourage you to take advantage of our free WiFi and refreshments. We will show you and your pet to one of our exam rooms and a member of our team will check your pet’s vitals and go over the medical history with you. The pet neurologist will come in after this and begin a thorough examination of your pet.

The pet neurologist will discuss with you the findings of the exam and will recommend available diagnostic and treatment options for your pet. We will proceed with testing to determine the best solution to your pet’s problem and offer a solution. This should take up to two hours, depending on the nature of the problem.

Once we have your consent to proceed with the procedure, we will keep your pet for a few hours or overnight as needed. When your pet is ready to come home, we will go over the procedure with you and how to aid your pet during his or her recovery. We will also go over any medications your pet will need and how to administer them and what you can expect during recovery.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have at this time and our pet neurologist or staff will be more than happy to assist you. We are only a phone call away should you need our assistance at any time. Our facility is conveniently located in Mission Viejo and frequently visited from all around Southern California, including Long Beach, Corona and Irvine. Once your pet has recovered, we will follow-up with an appointment to ensure our treatment was successful and that you have a happy, healthy pet again.
